About Ayurved Mahavidyalaya & Eknath Rugnalaya

In order to bridge the gap between the ever increasing demands of Ayurved personnel in rural areas and wide spread chronical diseases and problems, the Trust established Ayurved College and Shri Eknath Hospital in 1999. The college has all the specialized Ayurved departments as stipulated by Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi (CCIM) .

The College is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik . 

College has well equipped departments of Sanskrit Samhita Sidhant, Rachana Sharir, Kriya Sharir, Dravyaguna, Rasa Shastra & B.K, Rognidan, Drayaguna, Rasshastra & B.K, Swasthvritta, Agad Tantra & Vidhi Ayurved , Prasuti Tantra & Striroga, Kaumar Bhritya ,Kayachikitsa, Shalya Tantra, Shalkya Tantra. The college has a modern Panchakarma department fulfulling all essential requirements. 

Adequate Ayurved Laboratory facilities are provided for training of undergraduate and to undertake research. College also provides extension OPD services to nearby villages, which are also attended by the students and interns under supervision of senior staff. College has a teaching hospital, Shri Eknath Rugnalaya, with all specialties of Ayurved Treatment. Routine and specialized diagnostic procedures including advanced panchakarma treatments are undertaken. 

Courses Offered... 

The college offers BAMS - Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery course, an undergraduate course, recognised by Govt of Maharashtra and Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi from the academic year 1999-2000. 

Intake : 80 students 

Duration : Four and half year course followed by compulsory one year rotatory internship (Total 5 & 1/2 years) 

The students of this Ayurved College are benefited with both high technological Ayurved education as well as simultaneous exposure to the rural population through community based training. Extensive preclinical and clinical training is imparted to the students at Ayuved College & Hospital as well at its well at its well equipped peripheral clinical wings.

At present there are 26 post graduate students in these subjects . The institute has enough infrastructure , well advanced research lab and adequate number of patients in hospital and well experienced faculties as well. The students are inspired and motivated for different types of research work project to understand Ayurveda and its concepts .

Various faculties and students from these post graduate departments have undertaken different long term research projects on yoga and pranayama. Institute is also planning to undertake research oriented projects from department of Ayush.

There are also regular and weekly seminars as well as CME in different topics by experts from different medical branches.
